Anacortes Family Photography | Golden Hour Beach Session

Some sessions just leave you smiling the whole way home, and this was definitely one of them.

I met this sweet family of three at the beach in Anacortes on a beautiful evening, with the sun giving us the most incredible golden glow. The light was absolutely dreamy, but honestly, this little girl stole the show.

With her third birthday just around the corner, she was full of personality and excitement. She spent the evening doing exactly what a nearly three-year-old should be doing—running through the sand, exploring the beach, playing games with her parents, and stopping every now and then for the sweetest cuddles.

One of my favorite things about photographing families with young children is embracing the energy they bring. There’s no pressure to sit still or smile perfectly at the camera. Instead, we follow their lead, play, explore, and capture the genuine moments that make this stage of life so special. This session was full of those moments.

As the sun got lower, the beach seemed to glow around them. Between the laughter, the tiny hand-holds, and the snuggles with Mom and Dad, we captured so many memories that reflect exactly who they are right now as a family.

These are the sessions I love most—the ones that feel relaxed, joyful, and full of connection.
