There’s something magical about a senior session that feels effortless. No over-the-top posing. No trying to be someone you’re not. Just genuine smiles, beautiful light, and a location that feels like the Pacific Northwest at its best.

Alyssa’s session at this Anacortes beach had all of that.

From driftwood beaches and blooming trails to dramatic cliffs overlooking the Salish Sea, every stop showcased a different side of Alyssa’s personality. She has such a warm, genuine smile that made every single image feel natural, and she looked absolutely stunning agains the golden evening light.

One of my favorite things about this session was her outfit choices. The soft white top and jeans were perfect for the beach, while the black top paired with the flowing white skirt created an elegant look that stood out beautifully against the rugged coastline. The combination of casual and timeless gave her so much variety.

As the sun dipped lower, the sky put on one of those sunsets photographers dream about. Warm golden light, glowing skies, calm water, and just enough breeze to make everything feel alive. Those final images with Alyssa standing barefoot along the shoreline are some of my favorites from the entire evening.

Senior year is such an exciting season. It’s filled with big decisions, new adventures, and so many moments worth remembering. That’s exactly why I love photographing seniors — capturing who they are right now before life takes them on their next adventure.
